The San Diego Planning Partnership offers free workshops that cover essential long term care and estate planning topics. The workshops offer unbiased information and expertise from professional and experienced volunteers – in an objective manner and without solicitation.
- Educational presentations on topics including the key legal documents in an estate plan, advanced directives, options and costs in long term care, choosing one’s representatives, and more.
- Activities for identifying what is important to you
- A workbook outlining decisions to consider in preparing your plan – a road map for personal planning
- Connection to community resources
Who should attend?
We all need a plan. However, the most pressing need is for individuals age 60 and above, regardless of your income or economic resources. If you already have a plan, the workshops provide an opportunity for a “check-up,” and help ensure that your current wishes will be honored. The workshops are also especially helpful for family members who provide care for older adults.
Where are the classes?
The free workshops are held at different locations in San Diego County, hosted by our nonprofit partners, including St. Paul’s Senior Services, The Salvation Army of San Diego, Alzheimer’s San Diego and Rancho Coastal Humane Society. Parking is free.
